Welcome to Devotions with Dad!

Recently God has put it on my heart to log devotions that I have been writing for my family.  I could simply print them out and save them in a binder, but I have also heard very clearly from God that these words should be shared to a larger audience because others will find joy, peace, encouragement, and comfort through these words, so here we are. I honestly don’t know what exactly this means, but I’m going to go for it…even if it’s something I’m not totally comfortable with.

I don’t know who you are, where you are, what stage of life you’re in, or where you are in your walk with God.  You may be a new believer, a theologian, a life long follower of Christ, or even an atheist.  Quite frankly, it doesn’t matter where you’re at, or who you are.  You’re here because God led you here.  Take some time, cruise through my blog posts, and spend some time in prayer with God, my prayer is that you’re blessed by it.

I do want to say, devotions like these (regardless of the author) are wonderful ways to reflect on God’s word, but please do not let them take the place of personal time in the Word with the Lord.  Most devotions can be read in less than two minutes, how can you build a relationship with God (or anyone for that matter) in just two minutes a day?  It won’t happen!  You need to spend quality time with God, in the Word, and in prayer to grow your relationship with the Lord.

I would love to hear from you so please feel free to leave comments.  Everything God has given me is his, so if you feel like someone will be blessed by these words feel free to share with them.

I pray that God uses these words for his Glory, this has nothing to do with me and everything to do with him!  God bless you!
